Pack a lunch and join us for an afternoon of kite flying!
From Minneapolis/St. Paul to Rushford (about 125 miles), go
south on Hwy 52 through Rochester to I-90. Go east on I-90
about 31 miles to Hwy 43 (exit 249). Take Hwy 43 south about
nine miles to the ball field at 500 N. Mill Street in Rushford.

This is a swap meet for people interested in buying, selling
and/or trading their kites. There's plenty of field area for
test flying kites that interest you.
BYOB if interested in bringing a lunch.
From Hwy 100 in Golden Valley, exit at Duluth Street. Go west
on Dultuh St. about 1/2 mile to the stoplight at Douglas Drive.
Turn right at Douglas Drive and go north about 1/4 mile to the
stoplight at Sandburg Lane. Turn left and go uphill to the
school which is on the right-hand (north) side of the street.

This event is the annual summer kite festival of the Minnesota
Kite Society. The event is still in planning. But it will include:
-Kids' Kitemaking Workshop
-Kite Flying Competitions
-Stunt Kite Demonstrations by the pairs duo of "Fire & Ice",
featuring Kathy Brinnehl and Paul Koepke
From Hwy 36 in Maplewood, exit at Hwy 61. Go north about
1/2 mile to the stoplight at County Road "C". Turn right at
Co. Rd. "C" and go east about 3/4 mile to Hazelwood Street.
Turn right at Hazelwood Street and go south about 1/4 mile
to Brooks Avenue. Turn right at Brooks Avenue and go west
into the park.
September 13 & 14
30th Annual Frank Mots Kite Festival (KSW&I)
Weekend of Sept. 13 & 14, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day

This is the big summer kite festival of the Kite Society of
Wisconsin and Illinois (KSW&I) and is not to be missed!
Milwaukee, WI is about 330 miles southeast of St. Paul, MN
via I-94. Take I-94 to Milwaukee to I-794. Follow I-794 to
Lincoln Memorial Drive. Turn left at Lincoln Memorial Drive
and go north about 1-1/4 miles to the stoplight at Lagoon
Drive. Turn right and go east to the flying field.
October 26
Halloween Fun Fly (MKS)

This is a small club fly for Minnesota Kite Society members.
The public is welcome to participate. Kites will be available
to people who come without one.
From I-494 in Bloomington, exit at Penn Avenue. Go south
about one mile to the stoplight at W. 84th Street. Turn right
at 84th Street and go west about 1/4 mile to the school.
November 2
